On assignment in Millstone, New Jersey. December 2018

This is me. I'm a mostly-retired tax accountant living in central New Jersey with my wife Ellen and our poodle Pogo. Well, I was a tax accountant for the last 35 years. Now I am figuring out what I am besides and underneath that.

I named this website after the address I lived with my parents when I was born, and for the first 12 years of my life: 70 Irving Place. It was (is) two blocks south of Gramercy Park in New York City.

These are the people who brought me into this world:

And this is me about a decade later fishing off of the same pier! This is on the Bay side of the island in the town of Ocean Beach near Houser's Hotel.

Here I am in my cowboy outfit on Fifth Avenue in NYC at 6 years of age. And here I am at the exact same spot 58 years later! Notice that Fifth Avenue was two ways back then.

I grew up in NYC where I met and married the beautiful Ellen Kaplan. Here we are in the earliest known picture of us in Brooklyn in 1971. Some interesting points to note: Ellen's hair (faded in this old photo) was as red (or redder) than Emily's is today; My way-cool white jeans and cowboy boots; The plastic covers on the furniture - all the rage in 1970's Brooklyn!

And here's Ellen five years later on our wedding day in 1976:

Here we are celebrating our daughter Jennifer's Bat Mitzvah in 1993:

Ellen and I ran a thriving accounting practice for over thirty years, our girls matured into amazing women, we got a dog and I retired. Now I am focused on photography, hiking, biking, and my family. I want this website to tell the rest of the story of me!

My new Zydeco Dagger. Note the name of my bride which I emblazoned on the hull behind me. Did you know that Zydeco is a type of music that combines blues, R&B and native Louisiana Creole music?
